Former mayor of Curitiba Gustavo Fruet may join the MDB to run again for the Chamber of Deputies. His most recent party was the PDT.

Speaking to Plural, Fruet said he will wait until the final deadline to decide his political future. The former mayor confirmed that he spoke with MDB leaders “out of respect for the history in the party leadership”.

Another of the party’s bets is Curitiba’s Secretary of Sports, Leisure and Youth, Professor Euler. In the coming days, the secretary is expected to leave the post to resume his seat in the Curitiba City Council. The move is a preparation for the elections, when Euler, one of the party’s most important figures, is expected to run for federal deputy.
